Processing & shipping
Each chawan is inspected and packed by hand in Tokyo. Orders ship within 7–14 business days of confirmation, via tracked, insured courier (Japan Post EMS, DHL, or FedEx). We currently ship to the United States. To request another destination, write to us.
Delivery & tracking
After shipping, delivery typically takes 5–10 business days. A tracking number is sent by email the day your chawan leaves Tokyo.
Duties & taxes
We ship under DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid). Import duties and taxes are determined by your country's customs authorities and paid by you upon delivery. If you refuse delivery and the order is returned to us, return shipping and any incurred customs fees will be deducted from your refund.
Lost or damaged
If your package is lost in transit or arrives damaged, please write to hello@chawanroom.com within 7 days of delivery (or the expected delivery date), with photographs where applicable. We will arrange a refund or replacement.
