Returns within 30 days
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery, if the piece is unused and returned in its original wooden box (kiribako). Email hello@chawanroom.com with your order number to begin — return shipping for non-defect returns is the customer's responsibility, and import duties paid at delivery are typically not refunded by customs. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of receiving the return.
For orders shipped to the European Union, the 14-day right of withdrawal applies under the same conditions.
Handcrafted variations are not defects
Each chawan is shaped, glazed, and fired by hand. Variations in glaze flow, color, kiln marks, and minor differences in shape are inherent to the craft — part of what makes each piece one of one. These are not considered defects and are not eligible for return.
Damaged or defective items
If your chawan arrives broken, cracked, or with a clear manufacturing defect, write to hello@chawanroom.com within 7 days of delivery with photographs of the item and packaging. We will issue a full refund or replacement at no cost to you, and cover return shipping if needed.
