What we collect & why
When you place an order or write to us, we collect what's needed to deliver a chawan and respond to you: name, billing and shipping address, email, payment details processed by our payment provider, items in your order, and information about your device and how you arrived at the site. We use this to fulfill orders, reply to inquiries, prevent fraud, comply with law, and — if you've opted in — to send occasional notes about new pieces.
How we share it
We share information only with service providers needed to run the store — Shopify (hosting, payments, analytics), the shipping carrier, and providers for email, fraud protection, and customer support. We don't sell your personal information. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
Shopify & international transfers
The store is hosted by Shopify and your information may be transferred and processed outside of your country of residence, including in Canada and the United States. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of marketing or targeted advertising. To exercise these rights, write to hello@chawanroom.com. You can also unsubscribe from any email we send. If you have a complaint, you may contact your local data protection authority.
Children
The store is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
